Easy instructions for this are on the site, at check-out. Monthly installments via electronic check are not available. 3.) Personal or Company Check: You will receive an invoice via U.S. Mail that will contain a remittance slip and return envelope.

Will I receive a confirmation when I renew my bond?

Yes. You will receive an email confirmation that will contain a copy of your application, bond and Contractor’s License Bond Verification Card. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us at (877)-389-2105 M-F 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Central Time or email us, including your bond number, at clbsupport@getmyclb.com.

What if my current address does not match what is pre-filled?

A:
You will have an opportunity to make corrections to personal information when you renew your bond at RenewMyCLB.com.

What if my bond is already expired?
|
A:
In order for your bond to remain current and active, you must pay on or before the expiration date. Provided your bond expired within 60 days, you may reactivate and renew your bond at RenewMyCLB.com with no lapse of coverage. Otherwise, please contact your insurance agent.

How long will it take for my bond to renew?

A:
Renew your bond on or before the expiration date, and the bond’s “current and active” status will remain uninterrupted.

Why did my renewal premium change?
|
A:
Premium rates fluctuate based on underwriting criteria and licensing status with the California State Licensing Board. We review your file each renewal period to provide you with a competitive quote for the upcoming renewal term.

How will I know if my monthly installment went through?
|
A:
The transaction will show up on your bank’s monthly billing statement. If the transaction did NOT go through, you will receive an automated notice via email from our Payment Gateway System.

Do I receive a monthly bill in the mail?

A:
No. Your monthly installment is automatically charged to the credit card you provided when you purchased your bond.

Will I receive anything I can use temporarily as proof of bonding?

A:
When you renew your bond, we will email a printable copy of your bond, marked that it has been electronically filed with the State Contractors License Board. You will also receive a printable copy of your Contractor’s License Bond Verification Card. If you do not receive a renewal confirmation email, please contact us at (877)-389-2105 M-F 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Central Time or email us, including your bond number, at clbsupport@getmyclb.com.

I want to renew my bond, but need to make an entity change, i.e. corporation instead of sole owner. What should I do?
|
A:
Contact the California State Licensing Board first. The bond must always match the state’s records. If you have been assigned a new Application Fee number or a new License number, a new bond will need to be purchased through GetMyCLB.com. Neither GetMyCLB.com nor RenewMyCLB.com currently offers a surety program for C-39 or C-53 license class bonds. We recommend contacting a local insurance agency for bond placement.
